Dr Costas Papageorgiou has taught, trained, and supervised several hundred undergraduate and postgraduate students and healthcare professionals in the fields of Psychology, Psychiatry, Medicine, Nursing, and Occupational Therapy. He has had teaching duties at a number of universities including: Oxford (1992-1993), Liverpool (1994-1995, 1997-2005), Liverpool John Moores (1995-2002), Chester (1996-2002), Manchester (1997-2005), Birmingham (1998-2002), Lancaster (2002-2005), and Oslo (2021-to date). Dr Papageorgiou has also been invited to contribute to various newspaper articles and has appeared in radio and television programmes.


Dr Papageorgiou has been an invited conference keynote speaker and clinical workshop presenter at numerous conferences in the United Kingdom (British Psychological Society, British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, Metacognitive Therapy Institute) as well as international conferences including: United States and Canada (Association for Advancement of Behaviour Therapy); Australia (Australian Psychological Society and Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy); Japan (Rikkyo University); United Arab Emirates (The Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Festival); and Europe (Croatia, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Spain, and Turkey) through the various Cognitive-Behavioural and Metacognitive Therapy Associations. He has also been a member of organizing committees and scientific committees for the following: Association for Advancement of Behaviour Therapy, British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, International Association of Cognitive Psychotherapy, and Metacognitive Therapy Institute.
